Discover the next generation of Converse sneakers with the Run Star Trainer. Released in 2024, this collection is now available to purchase in a variety of sizes and colours, allowing you to tailor your kicks to your outfit. Whether you’re a die-hard collector or fashion-forward person looking for some reliable footwear, you can’t go wrong with these shoes.
Introducing the Converse Run Star Trainer
Contrasting with the emphatically retro style adopted by many of the brand’s other sneakers, the Converse Run Star Trainer is a truly modern lace-up shoe. Though it bears similarities to other releases in the ‘Run Star’ line, this collection embraces a more subtle appearance, with a low-top design that oozes tidiness.
You’ll notice that the sneaker has an athletic feel to it, and this is no coincidence: the designers drew upon the brand’s long history in the world of sport, from running to volleyball, to create something reflective of Converse’s heritage. Nevertheless, the Run Star Trainer is, at its core, a lifestyle shoe intended for everyday use.
The upper—made from materials such as nylon, suede, and leather—features the signature star logo on the sidewall. This imagery stands out against a simple yet effective backdrop, usually in one consistent colour. Moreover, the collar presents the brand name and serves to add an extra level of contrast with its different shades.
In line with its sport influences, the collection emphasises comfort and functionality. Beneath the foot is CX foam cushioning, which helps to diminish the impact felt with each step. Additionally, the Run Star Trainer has a gum outsole and uses a bold tread pattern that extends around the heel, providing extra grip while simultaneously giving the sneaker a striking appearance.
