On Running was founded in 2010 by former Swiss Ironman champion Olivier Bernhard with David Allemann and Caspar Coppetti. The Trio wanted to change the footwear game, designing comfortable running trainers that nobody have ever seen before!

First, they started off developing their own cushion technology, called Cloudtec . The technology all began with Bernhard experimenting with a garden hose, thinking about how that shape could create a new type of cushioning. His experimentations resulted in the brand creating a shoe with ‘cloud like cushioning’.

On Running released their first ever shoe in 2012, called the Cloudracer. The sneaker was quickly favoured by Swiss professional triathlete Nicola Spirig. Today, the company is a powerhouse in footwear and is always releasing exciting shoes for runners .
