Upon release in 1990, the ‘Air Jordan V’ was set to be another great success from the mind of esteemed designer Tinker Hatfield. Yes, the sneaker had all the makings of an icon, coinciding with the height of Michael Jordan’s career and going to great lengths to capture the NBA player’s individual style.

The AJ5 was unlike Hatfield’s previous designs (the III and IV), with the new trainer being compared to fighter planes from the WWII era.
