Introducing HOKA Running Shoes

HOKA (whose name comes from the Māori language phrase meaning ‘to fly’) was founded in 2009 by Nicolas Mermoud and Jean-Luc Diard, former employees of Salomon (another well-known footwear company). The pair set out on a mission to design a shoe that would allow for faster downhill running, and in doing so, they crafted a sneaker with a larger, more cushioned outsole. This collection became popular among ultramarathon runners, then the mainstream running community, who relished the incredible benefits that HOKA shoes provided.

As time went on, HOKA received greater exposure by sponsoring a selection of professional runners. The first of these were predominantly trial ultra runners, but they quickly expanded their reach to track and field, triathlon, and road-running athletes.

Of course, exposure means nothing without a product worthy of the attention, and HOKA doesn’t disappoint in this regard, staying on top of their game with the latest technology and highest-quality materials. Among these is a lightweight CMEVA midsole, which helps to provide that extra-cushioned feeling beneath the foot. Additionally, you’ll find breathable mesh uppers and outsoles with grippy patterns.
