Building on their latest underfoot platforms of Nike React and Nike Air innovations, the newest addition to the diverse array of energy-return cushioning has arrived with the introduction of the Nike Joyride. Designed with impact absorption, lightweight performance and maximised energy-return, the Joyride is built to help you find your stride with every step. With each pair made up of thousands of TPE beads, whether you walk, jog or run, your legs will feel fresher for longer.

The unique genius of the Nike Joyride is its ability to create a personalised underfoot experience tailored to every foot it meets. After rigorous testing of one hundred and fifty materials, Nike's research placed TPE as the best candidate for creating the cushioning beads.

Taking thousands of these engineered TPE beads and compartmentalising them into specially designed Pods, the research team was able to solve the issue of bead migration around the foot that would jeopardise comfort. The pod scale design is strategically based on how the foot moves as it hits the ground. With larger pods in the heel to absorb impact, the forefoot is prepared to facilitate a smooth heel-to-toe transition to help push you into your next step.

By creating a zonal-tuning design, the encapsulating foam expands in all directions to cater for every movement, resulting in a dynamic footbed that conforms to your foot. A semi-translucent window at the heel gives you a first-hand look into what makes the Nike Joyride special.
