Nike fuses together two iconic Air Max silhouettes to deliver the Air Max 97/BW. Launched onto the streets in collaboration with UK Grime legend Skepta, the combination of the BW upper sat atop a 97 sole made for one of Nike’s premier releases of 2018.
Primed for a wider release, the centaur-esque creation arrives in a Black/Hematite colourway, for a tonal Triple Black stance on the new silhouette.
The Details
Nike spares no detail through the construction of the sneaker. Combining breathable mesh with premium metallic leathers on the upper, the hybrid finds the optimum balance of everyday performance and refined luxury. With a 3M strip to give you pitch black visibility, the shoe subs out the classic BW sole with the 97’s full-length Air unit, ensuring you float on signature Nike Air cushioning for step-in comfort.
Swapping out the initial bold white/red/blue colourway for an effortless tonal look, the Air Max 97/BW boasts black tones on the mesh and leather upper, complimented with tonal laces and Swoosh. A blacked-out midsole and clear Air unit keep things stealth, while grey Air Max detailing wraps around the heel for identified comfort.
